Chunk more now done over the past few weekends.
We now having a rolling and rusty chassis with only the transmission installed. Bulkhead and the tub have just been forcefully removed.
A big decision has now been made. Looking at the chassis damage it's worse than I first thought. Around the NS rear chassis rail and the rear x-mem it is rusted through both sides - so I am biting the bullet next week and confirming an order with Richards, now they have stated they can now do military rear x-mems again!
Crossmember to chassis rail RHS.
Cross member to chassis rail LHS.
Well with that decision made I can get back to the bulkhead. Get that assembled on the current chassis and jigged up. Once that is set I can final weld and tidy/mod as necessary. Then to get it acid dipped ready for painting or maybe even galv if the price is good.
